What's New?
|
| I forget to update this page very often, but wanted to add
Joe Yoder below |
 |
Joe Yoder. Joe came to work for use a year after he
left the Amish community. He knew how to drive horses, but we heard him tell
someone on the phone one time that he thought he knew all about driving
horse until he came to work for Alex. He found there was lots more to
learn. We are very proud of Joe - pictured here on the cover of The Whip,
May 2010, driving Mark & Shirley Schmidt's four in hand - trying for the USA
Team at WEG (World's Equestrian Games) in KY 2010. |
 |
Alex was invited to drive the Grand Marshal, Vicky Graves,
at the 2006 Wagon Days Parade in Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho. |
 |
Alex & Kayo were inducted into the Montana Teamster Hall of Fame in
2007 at the Big Sky Draft Horse Expo, Deer Lodge, MT. The photo was
taken by Helen Eden, she and her husband Jack were also inducted into
the Hall of Fame the same year. Kent & Mary Lou Conner (previous
inductees) drove the Frasers into the arena with their new Surrey and
Belgian horses. |
| Alex did a driving demonstration
July 2009 for the International Folk Festival in Butte, MT - the Year of The Horse.
We took Marilyn Henderson and Kathryn Hatch so they could demonstrate
driving a single horse. Alex took the Polar Boys. We got rained out after
about a 20 minute demo. I was busy being the commentary so I didn't get to
take any photos. We were just proud to be a part of the Festival. |
 |
This a beautiful photo was taken by Peter Hance
at Happ's CDE in WA June 2006. Alex is driving a team of four ponies at
Dressage for Paula Scott, Butte, MT. |
 |
Wanda Lusk took this photo of Alex during the
Marathon at Happs. Merridy Hance sent these two photos to us and gave us
permission to use them on the site. |
 |
This photo was taken by
Sharon Findling from Oregon at the 2004 Shady Oaks CDE in CA of Alex driving
the Polar Boys during the Marathon. |
 |
