Safety Clinics
|
| It is our goal to make the driving of horses safer for: |
- the public,
- the horse owners,
- the drivers,
- and especially the horses.
|
| We are in the process of developing a program to make insurance easier to obtain for graduates
from The Fraser School of Driving, or for people who have competed the driving program from an approved school. |
| We don't believe you can learn enough at a Clinic to become an accomplished
driver but if you already have a carriage or wagon ride business, the Safety
Clinic will benefit you and your drivers. We do evaluations on equipment, horses, route and
drivers. We will make suggestions to improve the safety of your
operation and offer driving lessons if your drivers need them. |
| If you are new to driving, we suggest you take a minimum
of 10 hours of private lessons and we suggest you take 20 hours to be more
accomplished. We recommend a new commercial driver just starting out -
should take a minimum of 40 hours of lessons. Any professional
training you get is better than none, but it is critical that you receive
information from someone who is accomplished and knows how to teach. |
